SEO is the abbreviation of Search Engine Optimization. SEO means choosing specific keywords and making them use with certain techniques in order to achieve top website ranking in search to derive traffic. The traffic majorly comes through search engines which direct it after reading your website structure. Google, Yahoo and Bing are most commonly used search engines for websites, videos and local listings.
Suppose you own a website and a lot of information has been uploaded on it. When visitor searches same information in search engine he lands on your website. If your website information matches visitor’s criteria then your website will surely receive visitors. For this, your website needs a strategy that can direct visitors to your website in better way. A lot of information related to a single topic is being uploaded on internet day by day. However the whole information cannot reach to visitors at once. Suppose you upload five articles on a health topic. Search engines will read information and instead of presenting all five articles to visitors they offer a single topic which is most closely related to the visitor’s search term. Search engines gather information from each topic on the internet and then provide visitors with the information according to search terms.
Each search engine has its own set of algorithms. These set of algorithms consistently read and analyze information submitted on internet. If your search engine ranking is on first page, it means your website will receive more traffic. For achieving higher ranking in search engine, your website needs certain elements such as:

If your website title matches with visitor’s query then no doubt your website will appear on first. In same way if you make a slight change in title, your website ranking will be disturbed in search engines.
These are embedded code of HTML in header of web page and signify information to search engines about web page. These elements are mostly placed in “Meta Tags” so that search engine fetch out the information from them. Meta tags tell search engine that what is the page all about and which keywords are used in it. If you have put keywords exactly relevant to information, search engine will read these keywords and bring your website on top. Make sure that your website information matches with keywords. Sometimes, for the purpose of increasing page rank many irrelevant keywords are placed which is illegal.
