Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is a national hero who has undergone lots of hardships during the past few years. He was the 20th chief justice of Pakistan. He was appointed by Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf in 2005. He was dismissed from his position as the Chief Justice of Pakistan on behalf of the orders of former President of Pakistan “Pervaiz Musharraf” on 9 March 2007on corruption charges. But the actual reasons behind that removal are many, because Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was taking serious notice of major issues like Pakistan Steel Mills, National Reconciliation Ordinance, privatization of Habib Bank and the investigation on the fame of Shoukat Aziz. He was also focusing on the upcoming event of elections, in which the foreseen appointment of the Dictator Musharraf was to be made once again as the President of Pakistan.

Now if you look at the bravery and valor of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, you will come to know that he is not flexible in making any decisions for the best interests of his country. An example can be seen by summon of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Yousaf Raza Gillani in the court. As he takes instant hearing for every case, his enemies are becoming worried that he will be proved a big threat for them in future. His enemies not only comprise of political personalities but the military characters are also targeted as criticism. How the system of ISI is challenged in the first case is really a considerable action from the Court. All these events have great importance in the history of Pakistan. A lawyer movement was started by lawyers in 2007 when many judges are dismissed from their posts. The objective of this movement was to establish Rule of Law and restoration of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry with other 60 judges were dismissed by Musharraf. And finally he was restored to his position on Midnight 15/16 March 2009.
Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is the personality in Pakistan who is seemed to be sincere with his country. Why any others do not think for the best interests of their nation? Pakistan is suffering from the most severe situation and it needs a sincere Government that can still stand against the threats of its existence.
