History of Peshawar in Urdu


Peshawar (old name, Barsh Pur) is a historical city of Pakistan. During Gandhara kingdom, Peshawar was a central city. It was later renamed from Barsh Pur to Peshawar by Sultan Akbar. The Great, during his reign in India. Several Afghani, Irani, Greek and Mughal invaders entered into the subcontinent through this hilly tract. It also remained as a popular trading city in history.
